Welcome to the Slingshot BETA!

You’re one of our early testers, and we’re excited to have you help shape the future of Slingshot. Please read through the instructions below before you begin. Your honest feedback is incredibly valuable and will directly influence the next round of improvements.

What to Expect:

• A Pre-Funded Account:
  We’ve pre-deposited a small amount of $SLING into your account. This way, you can dive right in without needing to purchase or transfer your own $SLING.

• Login & Identity:
  You’ll log in using Web3Auth, which lets you choose from X (Twitter), Google, Apple, or Discord credentials. Please note whether this feels secure, seamless, and intuitive.

• Locking $SLING & SlingVolts:
  Once logged in, head to your Lock & Generate section, under Wallet. Here, you can lock your $SLING to generate SlingVolts - allowing you to vote. Locking $SLING for longer durations yields more SlingVolts. We want to know if this concept feels clear and straightforward.

• Daily Voting and the Showcase:
  The Showcase features game ideas submitted by creators. By default, you’ll have “Daily Voting” enabled, giving you 5 daily boosts to allocate to your favorite game ideas. If you turn off Daily Voting in your Profile settings, the voting interface will change to a text input where you manually allocate SlingVolts rather than using daily boosts. Test both modes if possible, and let us know which feels more natural. The first time you visit the showcase, you’ll see four onboarding slides explaining key concepts. We want to know if these slides make things clearer.

• Game Detail & Onboarding Slides:
  Clicking on a game from the Showcase will open its detail page, which includes more info about the game and may include game images, videos and even a playable prototype.

• Profile Customization:
  Don’t forget to explore your Profile page. Update your PFP, banner, bio, enabling MFA (multi-factor authentication) and trying the Showcase experience with Daily Voting turned on and off. Pay attention to whether these customizations are easy and intuitive.

• Creators & Submission Form:
  If you’re a creator, try submitting a game idea via the Submission Form. How does the form flow feel? If you’re not a creator, feel free to check out the form’s layout and let us know if it seems user-friendly and well-structured.

Your Role as a Beta Tester:

1. Explore All Features:
   Try logging in, checking your wallet, locking $SLING, voting on game ideas, viewing details, adjusting your profile, and if applicable, submitting a game idea.

2. Provide Honest Feedback:
   After exploring, please complete our feedback survey. Most questions are quick rating scales or multiple-choice, but we’ve included a optional open-ended questions to capture your suggestions on certain areas and a section for you to provide open-ended feedback. Please feel free to take notes as you use Slingshot BETA and share these via the survey.

3. Help Us Improve:
   The BETA environment is still evolving, and we may have some rough edges. Your insights will help us iron out any issues and refine the user experience for our official launch.

1. Go to the Slingshot Sign up or Login Page and create your account or log in to your existing account.

2. Experience the Features: Lock your pre-deposited $SLING, browse the Showcase, cast your votes on the LIVE game ideas your love, check out the game detail pages, customize your profile, and test the submission form if you’re a creator.

3. Share your feedback! Once you have spent enough time using Slingshot to gather your thoughts we'll need to capture them! Your feedback will be captured via a survey. Please, only feedback via the survey. This allows us to properly analyse your responses, spot patterns and make sure we are tackling priority issues. You will be notified soon via Discord once our survey is live.
